A project that analyzes the uniqueness of the Cal (UC Berkeley) student dynamic throughout the university’s history, investigating one of the following topics: student-athletes, student leaders in spirit groups, or student leaders in campus politics. This project will evaluate how Cal students have maintained a special relationship with their campus that few other universities can boast. Students are strongly encouraged to investigate a topic outside their familiarity (i.e., a student athlete would choose one of the other two topics) to broaden their understanding of Cal’s diverse population. The submission may be in the form of a three-page paper or a video.
