Jesuss leadership was very selfless. He was the leader who devoted his life for the benefit of mankind. He leaded in a way that would change the life of people in a very positive manner. Today, most of the people follow the trends he has set. This form of leadership is known as transformational leader.
According to Blanchard & Hodges if you want to lead like Jesus Christ then it is not just about making announcements but about making a promise to lead in a very different manner. This means that actions are required with words. Your deeds show your virtues and if you successfully execute them then you stand victorious. They bought a new concept in leadership which is about servant leaders. Servant leader is different from self-serving one. The basic difference lies in that a servant leader lives to serves people and the self-served one only lives to be served by others.
In this book Blanchard & Hodges gave 4 ways to become a good servant leader which is setting the reason for your visionary goal, painting a convincing futuristic picture to communicate, structuring, highlighting and showcasing the concept of values, to structure the kind of behavior one expects from other fellow men, respect for all, responsibility and devotion, sifting and placing people in order to achieve the target. These were the virtues highlighted in the book for great dynamic leadership.
Heart is the first junction of leadership. Our hearts should not be self-motivated. Our behavior reflects what we perceive about others. They mentioned three components which are fear, pride and ego which turn a person from servant to self-serving. If we develop a link with Jesus our hearts would change and that will bring positivity.
